OK, so here's the deal...
I'm quickly building my comic collection, and am wondering if the bags and boards I'm using are good enough?
The local shop where I buy my comics have a standard size bag and board they offer. Basically they're using a "Silver" size polyethylene bag with a one sided acid free board (white acid free with chipboard backing)
Is it really necessary to use a double sided, white on white acid free board or is that just overkill, and a way for the sellers to make more cash?
Also, as the Silver size bags are larger than the New size bags, are my comics better protected with a wider support or is this a bad thing?
Oh, and I just bagged and boarded my entire Lee's Toy Review magazine collection. I now just need to get a couple of magazine boxes to house them. Check it out...

I actually don't think it makes a difference as long as you keep yer boxes in a dry environment out of the sun and don't knock em around or anything.
Having tighter bags doesn't do much except to make it harder to get them in and out.

I use double-sided white-on-white boards since I double up my comics. That means one issue on each side of the board. It really helps conserve space since I have probably thousands of comics.

I'd have to agree and say no, it makes no real difference as long as your comics aren't sitting out in direct light.
And I've got a pile of Toyfare magazines that I never even thought of bagging.......thanks for the idea.
